Live Blog Activity Part 1

Not that many events are going on around me at the time of completing this live blog post, so I decided to create my own "event." I plan on completing this in the form of cooking a making a meal for myself since that isn't something I usually do in my own household. 

So, I went out to go shopping for ingredients. I headed to Kroger (a grocery store about 10 minutes from where I live) with my mom in order to pick up the ingredients. It wasn't crowded in the store at all, and finding all the items on my list was quick and easy. The list of ingredients I picked up included bread, ham, mayo, cheese, as well as potato chips. As I write this, I am back in the car on my way home from the store.

BREAKING NEWS: CNU Student Named 2018-2019 Capital Athletic Conference Athlete of the Year After a very impressive career playing on the CNU women’s soccer team, senior Gabby Gillis has been named the 2018-19 Capital Athletic Conference Female Athlete of the Year. With Gabby’s help, the Christopher Newport Captains were able to reach the NCAA division three National Semifinals for the first time in school history. In fact, Gabby Gillis is only the third CNU student and the first female soccer player to receive the athlete of the year award. Gabby served as the team captain her senior year and helped her team finish the year with an almost perfect record of 21-2-0 in addition to a 7-0-0 record in the normal conference. Over the course of her time as a Christopher Newport Captain, Gillis went on to break several records for points scored, as well as assisted goals.
